Hi brian hardison, president of champion strategies and spokesperson for shopsmart autos, giving you the best information we can when it comes to your next automotive lease or purchase.

So in the previous videos, we were talking about the steps on how to purchase a new vehicle.
Now we’re at your vehicle, the trade-in.
How do we maximize that a lot of people like to trade in their old vehicle, so they can resolve all of their car? Buying hassles at the same time, but this could be a costly choice while buying hassles and trading vehicles may be convenient.

Some dealers usually may try to lowball customers and only pay the wholesale price to see how much that is.
Go online to any one of the pricing guides, look up your car and compare the trade in price.

Often the difference can be a three thousand dollar hit or more check out edmonds, true market value or one of the other ones that are out there for you also how about sealing the deal if you’re negotiating via email or by phone, ask to have the car Delivered to you, rather than picking it up at the dealership, it’s quick and it’s stress-free, but most people go to the dealership to sign papers in person.

Even if you have a pre-approved loan to pay for the vehicle, the dealership’s finance manager may offer to beat the terms of the loan.
It doesn’t hurt to see if they can do better.
Just make sure that all the terms of the loan are the same before the contract is drawn up.

The finance manager may also try to sell you.
Some additional products and services buying an extended car warranty at the right price can provide some peace of mind but check first to see how much warranty is included with the price of the new vehicle.

Most new cars have a bumper-to-bumper warranty covering at least three years and 36 000 miles, along with the powertrain warranty that typically lasts up to 75 000 miles or more trade and taking time is the best way for you to purchase a new car.

And this is what we mean on that contract.
Does it include state sales tax? This is a percentage of the cost of the car.

Does it have some type of documentation fee? Does it have some type of registration fee? Some dealers might even include additional fees on which some may be completely, not to your advantage.

It’s tricky and we know we want to not make light of it.
But we want your experience to be a good experience and it can only happen if you pay attention to some of the things that we’re talking to you about now.
Once again, brandon hardison president champion strategies and spokesperson for shopsmart autos.

As always in party you go out and you make it .
